The Town of Esopus Library’s Duck Pond Gallery will be showcasing an exhibit by local artist Claudia Engel. The exhibit, called “Pools of Baca,” is based on lilypods, waterlilies and koi. Using an array of colors, the paintings are soothing but thrilling, at times capturing scenes that could play out in a variety of ways.

Engel, a gallery coordinator at the Arts Society of Kingston and the Duck Pond Gallery, also is coordinator for Cross River Fine Art.
